Ilana and Paul had a perfect DC wedding, not to be confused with the perfect Washington DC wedding. But then, if you noticed that they got married at a “venue” with pilates in the name you may have already guessed that.
Toolbox Pilates Art Studio is the perfect DC venue: small, in an alley, no parking and functions as a pilates studio/art gallery/event space. Add a wedding with no monuments, no buildings with columns, no “names” and you get the perfect DC wedding. In, of, and by the neighborhood.
DC is where people live. Washington is official and filled with pretense. It is as grand as this wedding was small. Ilana and Paul are a lawyer and doctor, respectively, but they wanted a wedding that was about them not a place. The only regret, their dog could not join the festivities.
Intimate. Good family. Good friends. Good food. Good tunes. What more do you need?
