Often when you hear of couples getting remarried it is rarely to each again, and even rarer without ever having gotten a divorce. Juana and Mike we remarried religiously in a small ceremony at Ohev Shalom, The Nation's Synagogue, in Washington D.C. this summer because of a conversion. Once Juana converted to Judaism it was as if, forgive the term, she was born again. Therefore, Juana and Mike needed to be remarried before the eyes of God and the community.
In the middle of the week they gathered a few friends and family to the Shepherd Park neighborhood of Washington D.C. and retied the knot. A few years older than their last wedding, but no less loving or emotional, as they were danced into matrimony once more.
A wedding such as Juana and Mike's just goes to show you that location, size, or length of a wedding in no way speaks to its power and emotion.
