Real Wedding Description

The setting of the Ainsley House is in the heart of downtown Campbell. Built in the early 1900’s this lovely English Tudor Revival home boasts a beautiful garden that retains much of its original character as well as the original furniture and design within the home. As a photographer I thoroughly enjoy shooting in unique locations and the history behind this home (now also a museum) created a wonderful stage for a gorgeous wedding.

From the bride:
We picked the Ainsley house because we loved the garden setting, and were able to use it without making any alterations. The bright, vibrant colors were also a major attraction and we knew the colors for the bridesmaids dresses would really pop. Another factor as to why we chose the Ainsley House was the location. It is only two small blocks from the reception location which made it easy for guests to move to the reception, and allowed us to spend more time with our guests rather than driving between the two locations.

When it came to Villa Ragusa, after seeing the massive dance floor and huge bar we knew it was the perfect location for our wedding! Matt loves to have his glass of whiskey or Grey Goose on the rocks, while I like to spend my time on the dance floor so it was the perfect blend for both of us and our group of friends.

As for important moments, I think me walking down the aisle with my Dad was a really powerful moment in my life, especially when we were bowing our heads at the alter. I feel extremely lucky to be able to have my Dad walk my down the aisle. Another important detail was the time Matt’s brother spent with him helping him to get dressed. His brother has always been his biggest fan and a father figure in his life. The first look was also very important to us as it calmed a lot of nerves between the two of us, and was the first time besides rehearsal that the whole bridal party was together. I was so worried he wasn’t going to like my dress as he dresses very stylishly himself, but he was almost in tears when he saw me. Our entrance with boxing gloves and was really important to Matt, since he’s been thinking about having a boxing skit at his wedding since he started boxing. The day could not have been more perfect.
