Franklin Institute Wedding
I am a big fan of new year’s eve wedding, specially in cold weather.
Couple years back I did photograph my first new year’s eve wedding at Horseshoe Valley for Rosie and Shayne’s wedding , and it was a lot fun.At this time was even more special, I received the honor to do a destination wedding in Philadelphia.I have no idea how Liz and Erik found me in Toronto, but luckily, they did :)
Arrived in Philly the day before the wedding, I decided to go check all the location right away, to make sure I would be ready on the the of. There is so many awesome things about destination weddings, one of them is the surprise factor of a new place to shoot. After shooting Sam and Patria’s wedding in Whistler and Leia and Dilan in Kazaquistan, I was so exited for this new adventure in Philly.
Getting Ready
The morning started at The Logan Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, Liz got upgraded to the presidencial room, OMG!!! What a beautiful and huge room, they even had a piano, and of course we used that for photos. With the beautiful job of Marian Braccia from Porchand Pearls the morning went so smooth, we had time to do all the shots that Liz wanted and the shots that I wanted lol
Portraits at Rodin Museum
After the getting ready we went to Rodin Museum to do their first look, couple portraits, family and bridal party shots. That day was expecting a lot rain the whole day, but just for us, the rain gave a break during that time and actually the weather was quite charming, very cloudy and fogy.Right after we went to the Philadelphia city hall, they had a carousel right there, and end up been a great spot for some photos.
Portraits, Ceremony and Reception at Franklin Institute
Getting at Franklin Institute, we went to used the brain exhibit for some more couple portraits, that was Liz’s favourite spot, and for me that was a photographer’s wonderland.
When I got the ceremony space, I understood why the choose the Planetarium at the Franklin Institute. The whole ceiling is cover with stars and the moon just right there, unbelievably stunning.
For the reception Liz made a dress change, both dresses from Laura & Leigh Bridal, both dresses was stunning. The Bachelor Boy's Band kept the whole night up until the 2023 lolThank you so so so so so so so much Liz and Erik for such great opportunity!! I had one of coolest experience of my life photographing you two. xoxo
