I'm De Waal, a wedding photographer and filmmaker in Los Angeles. I photograph weddings the way they actually unfold, staying in the background for most of the day and stepping in for portraits with light direction rather than stiff poses. My work is bold and colorful, and I care as much about a sweeping landscape as a quiet moment between two people. Before moving to LA, I spent over a decade photographing weddings in the Seychelles, and my luxury hotel work has been published in Vogue and Condé Nast Traveller. I photograph weddings and elopements across Southern California, with photography and film available.
