Real Wedding Description

Meet Carmen and Will, a beautiful couple that had their wedding in Sintra, Portugal in a summer last year. We were particularly thrilled to be their wedding photographers as we knew it would be fun, very international and traditionally rich elopement full of tiny details which we are always in a look out for. Carmen is from Hong Kong and Will is from the UK and they both live in London but Will´s passion for golf and Carmen´s love for great wine, food and sun had prompt them to organize their destination wedding in Portugal. The day started with Carmen´s preparations for the Chinese Tea Ceremony, which is the most sacred ritual of Chinese nuptials, as it serves as the bride’s symbolic introduction to the groom’s family. The newly-weds offer tea to the respective families and in exchange they receive the families blessings and gifts usually in a form of money or jewellery.

Right after this lovely ritual, the couple went to get ready for their wedding ceremony and party wich was held in Penha Longa Golf Resort located in Sintra. It was beautiful to see the two cultures blend together and so at ease with one another´s differences, and we felt much blessed to be able to photograph this amazing day filled with laughs, happy tears, and cheerful getting together.
