Getting married in Vancouver in December definitely has it’s challenges – it’s dark, it’s cold and it’s also more than likely going to rain.
No problem for these two… Shelley and Randy were a totally fun couple – easy going and ready for anything! They scoped out a couple of cool places for indoor photos and we ended up at Dublin Crossing Pub, which was totally fitting for the two of them. Shelley has a beautiful Celtic cross tattooed across her back and also wore a wedding gown with a black lace bodice and train. After some nachos and beer (diet coke for me!), we headed off to the Surrey Museum where we used the vehicle headlights to add a more dramatic feel to some of the photos. It was super cold, so it was a really quick stop.
The reception at Hazelmere Country Club was a whirlwind of energy right from the start. Shelley, Randy and their wedding party were led into the room by bagpipes and we were entertained throughout the evening by The Blackthorn, an Irish band they had seen at Dublin Crossing in the past. There was such a great vibe in the room that night – so much love and emotion, dancing and excitement. It was one of those weddings I wish I didn’t have to leave!
What a fantastic way to end the 2008 wedding season! Shelley and Randy, I wish you all the best!
