Real Wedding Description

Folks flew in from around the globe to attend Jaime and Clay’s beautiful April wedding in Annapolis, MD. Perhaps no one traveled further than the bride and groom themselves, who had been living in Japan!

The ceremony was held at the US Naval Academy Chapel, which with its grand scale and big beautiful dome feels more like a cathedral than a chapel. After the ceremony the couple passed through the traditional sword arch, where the last officer in line gave the bride got the traditional sword-swat on the behind accompanied by a shout of “Welcome to the Navy!”

After the ceremony, the couple had some photos taken on the grounds of the academy, and then were off to a reception the Fleet Reserve Club, located right next to the famous “ego alley” on the Annapolis waterfront.
