Real Wedding Description

I have been photographing Jewish weddings and other events for over 20 years, but only recently began photographing a lot of Orthodox Jewish weddings (both in my home town of Baltimore, as well as in New York and New Jersey). I still remember my first orthodox wedding, where the intensity and joy was a little overwhelming! But I soon grew to love these events, educated myself about the different rituals, the kaballat panim, the tisch and the bedecken, and learned new terminology like “chossen” for groom and “kallah” for the bride.

I have known Jen, the bride in this wedding, for years as I am a friend of the family. So it was a great honor to be chosen to photograph her wedding to Chaim. And I must admit, I found myself getting a little “verklempt” at times.
