Jerry Tomko is originally from Dunmore, Pa, a small blue collar town right outside of Scranton.
As a boy, Jerry loved drawing and art, and developed an interest in taking pictures. No one handed him a camera, or pushed him towards a lifetime capturing moving moments. Instead, he was self-driven and self taught, with an outgoing, authoritative, but cordial nature that he ultimately employed to help his couples relax, knowing that absolutely everything is under control. For 35 years and over 1100 weddings, Jerry has given all that he has to his couples and has enjoyed success and recognition worthy of only the best of the best.
Jerry holds two of the highest degrees bestowed by the Professional Photographers of America: Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman. He has had six prints hang in the prestigious traveling loan collection of PPA, and numerous others in the Master’s Court of Honor. A trusted expert in his industry, Jerry has delivered numerous professional development seminars to other photographers throughout the US.
When praised for his work, Jerry nearly always tells people that his pictures look the way they do because of his couples. He claims to simply press a button, but spends his entire day looking for the perfect light to fall on his subjects, revealing that special moment and memory of a lifetime. He loves the excitement, the celebratory atmosphere, and the fashion of weddings. In his free time, he enjoys watching college basketball, professional football, and major league baseball with his wife live!
