1. How did you get your start and why did you choose wedding photography as a career?
I never planned to become a wedding photographer. What fascinated me from the very beginning wasn't simply photography—it was people, emotions, and the stories that unfold naturally. Weddings bring all of those elements together in a single day. Every celebration is different, yet every couple shares the same desire: to remember not only how their wedding looked, but how it truly felt.
Today, I work as an editorial destination wedding photographer across Europe and the Gulf, photographing celebrations from Lake Como, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast to Dubai, the Côte d'Azur and beyond.
2. How has your experience helped you on a wedding day?
After photographing weddings for over a decade, experience becomes almost invisible. It allows me to anticipate moments before they happen, adapt quickly to changing weather or timelines, and remain calm under pressure. Couples shouldn't feel stress from their photographer—they should feel supported.
3. Tell us about some of the more unique weddings you've photographed.
One of the most fascinating parts of my career has been photographing luxury celebrations across the GCC, where privacy and discretion are essential. I've documented intimate family weddings as well as high-profile events where confidentiality, NDAs and private galleries are standard practice.
Each culture celebrates differently, and that's something I genuinely love experiencing.
4. What are some of your favourite venues?
Some of my favourite places include elegant villas around Lake Como, historic estates in Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Provence, the Côte d'Azur and beautiful venues throughout Dubai. I love locations with timeless architecture, beautiful natural light and a sense of quiet luxury.
5. What advice would you give couples looking for a wedding photographer?
Choose someone whose work still moves you after looking at hundreds of photographs—not only the highlights on Instagram. You should feel that your photographer understands your personalities, knows when to guide you and when to simply observe.
Photography lasts far longer than flowers or decorations.
6. What's your favourite part of the wedding day?
The quiet moments.
The few minutes before the ceremony, parents seeing their children, a glance across the dinner table, or the silence after the vows. Those moments often become the photographs couples treasure the most.
7. What kinds of weddings do you love to photograph?
I love elegant destination weddings where couples truly value the experience over perfection.
Whether it's an intimate celebration in Italy, a luxury wedding in Dubai or a family gathering in the French countryside, authenticity is always more important than extravagance.
8. What are your top tips for couples to get beautiful photographs?
Trust your photographer.
Allow enough time in your timeline.
Stay present.
The best photographs happen when couples stop thinking about the camera and simply enjoy the people around them.
9. How important is experience?
Experience means preparation.
An experienced photographer understands changing light, difficult weather, unexpected schedule changes and emotional family dynamics. Those things cannot be learned from social media—they come from years of photographing real weddings.
10. How would you describe your style?
My approach is quiet and editorial.
I look for beautiful light, elegant composition and genuine emotion. Rather than directing every moment, I prefer creating space where people can simply be themselves. I want every gallery to feel timeless rather than trendy.
11. Do you photograph destination weddings?
Yes.
Destination weddings are at the heart of my work.
I regularly photograph weddings throughout Italy, France, Poland, Dubai and across Europe and the Gulf, travelling wherever my couples choose to celebrate.
12. What makes your work unique?
My clients often tell me they forgot they were being photographed.
I believe the photographer should become part of the atmosphere rather than the centre of attention. Quiet observation combined with gentle guidance allows couples to enjoy their day naturally while receiving elegant, editorial imagery.
13. Do you offer albums?
Absolutely.
Digital galleries are convenient, but printed albums become family heirlooms. Years later, couples don't gather around a laptop—they gather around an album. That's why I believe beautifully crafted fine-art albums remain an important part of every wedding story.
14. What inspires you?
Cinema, architecture, natural light, travel and people.
Visiting different countries and experiencing different cultures constantly reminds me that while traditions vary, love looks remarkably similar everywhere.
15. What are your plans for the future?
I plan to continue photographing a limited number of destination weddings each year, allowing every couple my full attention. I'm expanding my work across Europe and the Gulf while continuing to create timeless imagery that feels elegant today and decades from now.

Her approach is quiet and editorial. She looks for light, stillness and the moments between the planned ones, creating images that feel timeless rather than staged—more like a film of how the day felt than simply a record of what happened.

Lubov photographs in English, Polish and Russian, and accepts only a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple receives her complete attention.
