1. How did you get your start and why did you chose wedding photography as a career?
Everything started accidentally, I started as videographer, doing news footages for local Tv station. I was constantly in contact with regular people. Soon after people wanted to hire me to shoot their wedding. I switched to photography almost 10 years ago. But I'll never forget those days, I learned a lot of valuable lessons.

2. How has your extensive experience in wedding photography helped you in difficult circumstances on a wedding day?
Working under stress on a wedding day is kinda normal to me but not for the bride or groom. I always keep my head cool and try to anticipate situations.
3. Tell us about some of the more unique weddings you've shot.
Most unique weddings....first wedding with foreign couple (Irish wedding) we are very good friends now, traditional Albanian wedding 1 photographer vs 600 guests (laugh :) :) It was lots of funny and crazy situations.
4. What are some of your favorite local venues?
my hometown Trogir and its vincinity is one big beautiful venue especially for photoshooting. You have hundreds years old chatedral, narrow stone streets, thousand years old stone houses, true mediteranean spirit
5. What advice would you give a bride who is looking for a wedding photographer?
Dear bride if you are reading this rember that your wedding day will never happen again. Every moment, emotion, every smile and tear even tomorow will be thing of past. Only photo album will remind you on that day.
6. What's your favorite part of the wedding day to photograph?
Every part of wedding day is interesting for me, personally I love unexpected situations beacuse they often provoke burst of laughs or tears of joy
7. What kinds of weddings do you love to photograph?
I dont have favourite kind of wedding. Shotting small or big wedding my attention is always to details and moments.
8. What are your top tips for brides to help them get great photos on their wedding day?
Dear brides, feel relaxed, act natural and thats it ! What about couple shooting? Well posing is minimal there just to catch perfect light
9. How important is it to hire an experienced wedding photographer?
How important is it to hire an experienced wedding photographer? On this question i have another question. Do you want to end up with badly exposed, badly composed shots with bad editing? Always check work through, if you can check printed images !

10. What do you find is the biggest challenge in wedding photography?
Its easy to fell into repetitive trap, thats why its important to work with different people from different cultures
11. Do you do "destination weddings?" If so, what are your favorite destinations?
Yes of course i shoot destination weddings, that way my creativity is out of "repetitive trap"
12. What do you do for fun when you're not shooting weddings?
Shooting landscapes especially thunderstorms
13. How would you describe your style of photography?
My style is documentary, I simply shoot what i see.
14. What do you offer to clients that is unique? What is your Unique Selling Proposition?
What I offer my clients is classic documentary photography. Nowdays when everyone is photographer I call that unique.
15. Do you offer albums? If so, describe the albums you offer and why you think it's important to provide albums.
Printed pictures you can feel under your fingers, viewing pages of album is unique feel. Its impossible to describe that. Its simply joyfull feeling.
16. How would you describe the current state of the wedding photography industry, and where do you think wedding photography is headed in the years to come?
Who knows what future holds...Most important thing is keep things real. Wedding is event and people want to remember that day exactly how happend. New photographers - learn from expirienced collegues, stay away from trends which are passing by. Ask yourself - Do You want trendy or timeless image?
17. What (or who) inspires you?
Photographers who use practical light, or light modifiers or any other tool to achieve good photo. They are my inspiration
18. Have you found any products, services, or seminars that have made a difference to your photography or your business?
I very happy that I work with good proffesionals in industry. Im very happy with prints, albums. Maybe sounds hillarious but I dont attend seminars often, I love watching old movies from where i study lightning technique, or watching old portraits. There is reason why those movies or pictures have timeless stamp on it.
19. What's the best photography-related advice you've been given?
Create your own style and approach dont even bother to copy someone else !
20. What would you say was the biggest reason for your success?
My biggest reason for sucess....support from my family. In time of my need the pushed me little bit further, they were "good wind in my back" and still are.
21. Do you follow any photography or business blogs that you would recommend?
I follow lots of photographers on social networks, really you can see some great captured moments. At this moment I dont have any particular blog or web to reccomend
22. What future plans do you have for your business for the next year?
Next year plans....who knows....keep up good work, look for more interesting situations, light and places.
23. What is the biggest challenge facing wedding photographers today?
Educating future clients about photographers work is in my oppinion biggest challenge. People often think that our job is to snap few images now and then, grab few drinks, snap some more and thats it. Thats why is important to educate pople - on seminars, workshops, websites like ISPWP about our work.

Photographer Bio

Greetings, my name is Antonio and welcome to my web page. I’m wedding and documentary photographer from Trogir-Croatia. I suppose this is the part where I have to write something about myself. I love photography especially documentary style, which is also my approach while I’m shooting weddings. I was born in July 1984 in town of Split at Dalmatian coast. First camera I picked up at early 20’s and started shooting reportages, mostly about everyday life and things. I graduated with “Master of craft” degree diploma in photography. Ten years ago I got more seriously into wedding photography, so far I documented more than 400 weddings. What i learned from that expirience? Always talk with couple and respect their wishes and ideas, be unobtrusive while shooting have unique approach to every wedding.

Did you know that I…

  • enjoy shooting landscapes especially thunderstorms over my hometown
  • love film cameras and home development of 35mm black & white films
  • also shoot architecture especiall interiors
