For the past three years, American Photo has handed out awards to the top 10 wedding photographers working today. A variety of experts provide the nominations including wedding planners, website directors, photography editors and previous winners of the Top 10 Awards. The editors of American Photo take the nominations and pick the top ten finalists.
We’re thrilled to report that four ISPWP members were featured in the Top 10 list for 2009:
Amy Deputy – “Photographs provide an opportunity to speak in a language beyond words,” Deputy says. “They conjure memory and validate experience. They are a way to say, I honor this moment.” View the article on Amy.
Huy Nguyen and Kym Skiles of f8 Studio – “We try to keep things distinctive and fresh by staying free of trite, pre-conceived notions of conventional wedding photography.” View the article on f8 Studio.
Anna Kuperberg – “The challenge is to find a meaningful photo, perhaps with multiple layers and a subtlety or sophistication that isn’t obviously apparent.” View the article on Anna.
Way to go you guys!
