Real Wedding Description

Millie and Luke were married atop Mount Magazine on August 8, 2009. The ceremony was held outside on the terrace of The Lodge at Mount Magazine with breathtaking views of the valley below. The bride wore a strapless, A-line gown from Casablanca Bridal with a beaded lace overlay, scallops on the neckline, hand embroidered designs and crystals on the bodice and a scalloped semi-chapel length train. The bridesmaids’ dresses by Adriana Pappell were strapless silk dresses with a pleated A-line skirt in chocolate brown. The men wore tan suits by Oscar de la Renta, ivory dress shirts and chocolate brown ties, except the groom who wore a champagne and ivory striped tie by Calvin Klein. Erin Blair Gobin, hair and make-up artist from Dallas, Texas, traveled to Mount Magazine to glamorize the girls for the big day.

The bouquets and boutonnières, which included lotus pods, coffee berry and fern curl fronds, were designed by Scotts Flowers located in Paris, Arkansas. During the ceremony, guests were entertained by the sounds of the classical guitarist, William Reyes from the University of Arkansas Music Department, and Ben and Emily Roberts of Carolina Story. The programs and water bottle labels were designed by Megan Peck, the Bride’s sister and Matron of Honor.

After the ceremony, guests moved inside to a banquet room located inside The Lodge at Mount Magazine for dinner and dancing. A lasagna dinner was prepared by the The Lodge while Confectionately Yours of Fort Smith, Arkansas served cake and coconut cream pie for dessert. The sounds of the night were provided by Bret Wilson of American Sounds, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Throughout the night, guests stopped by the Trail Mix Bar and were able to create their own personal trail mix. The trail mix bar, designed by Megan Peck, included granola, green wasabi peas, peanuts, M&Ms, dried pineapple, sunflower seeds and sesame sticks purchased at Sprouts Farmer’s Market. The trail mix bags were embellished with the couple’s monogram and were also designed by Megan Peck.
