Wedding Description
Swedish summers have been very popular among wedding couples all over the world. As Sweden still hasn’t adopted the Euro as a currency, services related to weddings are still fairly priced in the country. Besides the dream rates, our summers, when it’s not raining cats and dogs, are dreamlike: perfect mild temperatures, clean water all around us, and days that can be 24 hours long! How great is that?

And of course, it’s like a dream come true for all photographers seeking for the perfect light. 2009 has been an incredibly international year for me, and surely an incredible year for all international couples who have gotten married here.

Märta and Christophe live in France but decided to hold their wedding in Märta’s home, Sweden. And I had the honor of documenting their great day!!!

They chose a medieval castle which was also a hotel and had its own church in its surroundings, just the perfect setting when you have international guests coming who can overnight at the castle over the weekend.

During the ceremony, they had two priests, one Catholic priest, for the French part of the family and one Lutheran priest, for the Swedish part of the family.

When asked what would look best on camera when the couple walks out of the church, I gave them favorites: rose petals, soap bubbles or heart shaped rice! As you can see, they have chosen two of them!

Warmth, friendship, and lots of love. And I couple I couldn’t help but falling in love with. A wedding I will definitely never forget!
