Wedding Description
When Amy and Derek wanted to plan the wedding of their dreams, they turned to the wedding professionals in the Milwaukee area who could help their dreams come true. Both come from large and loving families in the metro Milwaukee area, and they knew this was going to be the party of their lives.
They wanted the wedding theme and colors to reflect the beauty of the fall season in Wisconsin, so rich golds, oranges and reds and copper accents were the theme from the flowers provided by Just Fleur Fun Florist in Waukesha Wisconsin and the accents on the tables at the Marriot Milwaukee West, coordinated by Imagen Events from Pewaukee Wisconsin completed the look just as Derek and Amy had imagined.
Derek and his groomsmen added a touch of whimsy to the day by having his groomsmen provided with black Fedora hats for the formal photos which made for some fun photo opportunities!
The staff at the Milwaukee Marriott West provided food stations instead of the regular static sit down dinners featuring crab cakes, carved roast beef, a pasta bar and seafood much to the delight of the guests. During the dinner hour Atahualpa played haunting music on their pan flutes, this band is well known in the area for playing at Summerfest. They have created their music style over the years by using the traditional rhythms from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia and combining them with more contemporary Latin and Caribbean rhythm
Even Amy and Derek were surprised when Amy’s dad surprised them with a special guest flown in from Canada to sing them a song for their first dance: a Phil Collins Impersonator who sang “You’ll Be In My Heart” for their first dance…an uncanny likeness right down to his white tennis shoes.
This was a night filled with music, food, family and friends. It was a delight to photograph from start to finish because Amy and Derek truly basked in the love from family and friends and were in the moment all day.
