Wedding Description
Every so often I meet a couple that is so laid back, so completely trusting of their vendors, that I just know I have all the latitude in the world not only to make beautiful images for my trusting clients, but also to make them for myself.

Lindsay and Joe are that kind of couple.

For their wedding, they rented three adjoining beach houses on Kure Beach and set their ceremony site up on the beach, with the reception on the long deck that joined all three houses. The decor was simple, but really pretty, with twinkle lights and little beachy details everywhere – most of which, Lindsay made herself.

The day started out a bit drab and drizzly, but by the time we started photographing everyone getting ready the clouds had burned off, revealing an amazing blue sky and nice moderate temperatures – the perfect weather for a beach wedding.

The ceremony was officiated by Lindsay’s childhood minister, while my favorite local caterer, Bon Appetit, managed the fabulous food and Taylor of Sweet T’s Cakes created yet another magnificent cake, but that’s not unusual – these are the best wedding vendors in Wilmington NC, after all!

Lindsay and Joe’s reception was very fun – in one corner, the flower girl taking over the dance floor; in a much more hidden corner, a groomsman managing the beer bong section. Lots of laughter and hugs, a little bit of dancing, a great music selection (they opted for the iPod reception, and they did a surprisingly good job with their playlist!), just a truly enjoyable evening for everyone.

Thank you guys so much for having me and Betsy there for your day! We really enjoyed every minute of working with you, and loved being part of your families for a few hours!
