Wedding Description
Chad and I were so excited to be getting married. We are high school sweethearts, and had dated for almost seven years when we got married. Both of us have always loved the beach, and I had thought about getting married there. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but knew the beach would be too far for all the people we wanted in our wedding and our guests to travel. So, we brought the elements of the beach to us!

Our ceremony was on the back patio of Stone Creek Golf Club, in Urbana, IL. We had floating candles in turquoise water, coral, and beach glass. Our bridesmaids each picked out their own dresses, they were the same color and brand, but different styles. They all looked great! We were so happy to have blue skies, 80 degree weather and a nice breeze. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

My favorite part of the day was meeting Chad prior to the wedding. It was such a perfect moment – to be able to meet privately and see each other before all the chaos began! It relieved the stress of the day. Mark captured the moment perfectly – these are pictures we will treasure of the rest of our lives! Some other special touches of the day…..I wore a necklace that was my great grandmothers, she was an important part of my life when I was younger, so I was proud to wear her necklace on our big day. Chad’s father gave him a pocket watch that belonged to his great-grandfather.

It was great to be surrounded with everyone you love, having fun and making memories!
