Real Wedding Description

Carole and Stephen’s wedding ended up being a little different than how they first planned it.

Initially they had planned a large ceremony and reception for October 2010 with all of the trappings that go along with it, but in December 2009 they changed their minds and decided that they wanted something smaller and more intimate. You see, this was Carole’s second wedding … and yes I was her photographer then too!

So I knew Carole, her parents, both her little boys, whom I’d had the pleasure of photographing, etc. So when they wanted to book their wedding in NY for the winter, they called, we compared dates and February 27, 2010 it was.

I had no idea what to expect outside of a few minor details. They were getting married IN Central Park and only a very small handful of people would be there. Well wouldn’t you know that NY had a major snowfall the day before we arrived, so the day of the wedding was a winter wonderland.

Carole had arranged for the wedding to take place at Belvedere Castle in the middle of Central Park. It was quite the trek to get there, but 100% worth it because the view was beautiful. Then we did a few photos in Central Park, including a fun snowball fight with Carole, her two boys, Liam and Rylan … and of course Stephen the groom … they even all had the red Canadian Olympic mittens just to be patriotic!!!

Then we headed to a limo where just the two of them, myself, my assistant Darsi and my good friend Julie Lowry took them off to a few different locations for photos. After that we headed to Ruth’s Chris for a wonderful steak dinner. And to top the day off, the couple had arranged a double decker bus trip just for our group around NY.

A perfect day, for a seriously perfect couple!!!
