“Bride in the Water” by Sol Tamargo, Playa del Carmen, Mexico of del Sol Photography
The ISPWP has a monthly photo assignment given to the members. Entries are posted on the ISPWP Forum, and all members get to vote on the winner.
The September assignment was “Bride in the Water.” Congratulations to Playa del Carmen, Mexico Wedding Photographer Sol Tamargo of del Sol Photography for winning the ISPWP September Photo of the Month.
Here are Sol’s notes about the image:
This photo was taken at a trash the dress session, we had bride and groom swimming together in a cenote (natural sink hole), but I always make sure to shoot just the bride swimming to showcase her dress.
It is a magical moment when everything aligns to make a perfect image and I was beyond excited when I saw this one happening.
Perfect body language, gorgeous bride face (can you imagine the funny faces we get underwater?). Also shooting undewater presents the challenge of movement, everything drifts away, the subject moves, assistants move, you move, the light moves.. Ah! It’s so hard!! And therefore incredibly rewarding when you get a perfect one! Big smiles here
I had 2 assistants with light sources helping me, that was crucial to get these perfect colors. This image has little Photoshop, it is almost straight out the camera.
Shot with a 5D Mark II, lens 35mm, f/3.2, shutter 125, ISO 1250 inside an Aquatica housing.
