“Silhouette” by Kimberley Anderson of KB Image Photography
The ISPWP has a monthly photo assignment given to the members. Entries are posted on the ISPWP Forum, and all members get to vote on the winner.
The July assignment was “Silhouette.” Congratulations to Milwaukee Wedding Photographer Kimberley Anderson of KB Image Photography for winning the ISPWP July Photo of the Month.
Here are Kim’s notes about the image:
This image was made at Janice and Kris’s wedding at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Arts Museum in Madison Wisconsin. MMOCA has always been one of my favorite venues in Madison because of the use of incorporating the city of Madison in the structure.
While on the stunning glass steps of this venue with it’s glass walls to the outsides you feel as though you are suspended over the iconic “State Street” area of the campus of the University of Wisconsin Madison. Below you can see street vendors, students, campus protestors and lovers of the arts all in one place. MMOCA has built itself into the city of Madison and appeals not only to alumni of UW Madison but also to couples who want a venue that is architecturally stunning and also intimate.
This image was made at a time that they had ribbons cascading throughout the structure. The ribbons were colorful and made an impact, but in this photo I felt the clean lines and the sun streaming through called for a stark black and white silhouette to show off this amazing venue. I’m so pleased the members of ISPWP voted for this image and am proud to have made it!
