“Hands” by Spencer Clark of Anna and Spencer Photography

The ISPWP has a new monthly feature where a photo assignment is given to the members. Entries are posted on the ISPWP Forum, and all members get to vote on the winner.

The April assignment was “Hands.” Congratulations to Spencer Clark of Anna and Spencer Photography for winning the April Photo of the Month.

Here is Spencer’s notes about the image:
“This is an image from Stephanie & Chris Richard’s wedding. It was just before the ceremony, and all of Chris’ groomsmen decided to say a prayer for Chris. I started to take photographs – one here, one there as I didn’t want to distract from the moment. I saw this shot from a distance, came closer, and took it (still at a distance, I was using the 85, I believe). Now, of course, I took photographs from the other side showing Chris’ emotion & reaction to what his best friends were saying to him – wishes of faith, strength, prosperity, and joy. However, this image shows to me the moment itself – sincere & strong.
Specs: Canon 5D, 85 1.2L, No Flash.”
