Description: Photographing real moments at the split second they happen, whilst remaining out of the way of the action, I’ve been lovingly referred to by my clients as a ‘photography ninja’ and had my camera humorously described as ‘Dylan’s time machine’.
I prefer to adopt a fly on the wall approach to the wedding day. I like my subjects to be ‘camera unaware’ and I see my role as one of documenting the wedding day rather than trying to direct or control it.
I love creating photographs that are strong compositionally and that also combine foreground/background elements, utilise beautiful natural lighting and have a great sense of timing.
Most of all, I simply like to quietly go about putting together a fantastic series of pictures that tell the story of the day.
I typically cover 30-40 weddings each year and have photographed hundreds of fantastic weddings for my clients here in Ireland and across Europe in locations as cool as Prague and Barcelona.
Away from taking pictures I enjoy my family time with my young daughter Corrina and my beautiful wife Caroline.
My studio is based in the historic coastal town of Carrickfergus on the County Antrim coast and although my preference is to work in Ireland, I will often consider the occasional assignment further afield, especially France.
