| Description:
Wedding photography should not be a necessary ordeal to be endured–it should be creative, spontaneous, and–most of all–fun. The better time everyone has with it, the better the pictures. Most importantly, it should capture the moments and emotions of your day, and let you in on those hidden moments you may have missed.
I’m a photojournalist with over 10 years experience (150+ weddings), and now I exclusively work on weddings simply because I love the work, and I love my clients. It is an honor and privilege to memorialize the events of a couple’s most important day.
My philosophy is your wedding day should be your day, not a day-long heavily scripted photo shoot. I’m there to remain in the background and record those honest, storytelling moments as they happen, and only step into the foreground when directing the portraiture.
My journalism work has appeared in many major publications (New York Times, Business Week, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Car and Driver, etc.), and I have won several awards for my wedding photography from the Wedding Photojournalism Association, including placing in the Top 20 for 2007 Photographer of the Year.
