Description: Rachael’s wedding career began back in 1997, while a college student at Columbia College Chicago. She remembers vividly walking to the train after class while a childhood friend asked her to photograph his older brother’s wedding. Rachael accepted, hired another PJ classmate to help and shot the hell out of the day! It was one long, fun, exhilarating, challenging and rewarding day. And it stuck.

Since then she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism from Columbia College in 1999, launched her photography business under the name Rachael Silvers Photography in 2001. Changed the name to Metropolitan Imageworks in 2007 and along the way photographed almost 300 weddings in Chicagoland, WI, IN, IA, KY, MI, CA, FL, AZ and of course, Mykonos, Greece.

Rachael blends in and becomes a part of the day, working stealthily to capture fleeting moments, the action, the emotion and the detail of your wedding day.  No contrived details or staging what didn’t truly happen.

Rachael is also funny and spontaneous and not afraid to roll up her sleeves, crawl on the floor or climb a fence to get the shot she wants.
