WHY DO YOU LOVE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?
What better than to capture the happiest moments of a couple’s life?! For me wedding photography is a combination of many genres: portraiture, photojournalism, candid photography, and many more…
WHICH MOMENTS ARE THE MOST PRECIOUS TO YOU?
I think there are many moments during the day. It could be a loving glance, a gentle touch or tears of joy. But most importantly, one has to be open to these instances in order to interpret them creatively. I love watching the bridal couple when they first see their photographs. To record the atmosphere of this day, so that couples may experience the same emotions again and again – to have recognised and captured them, this is my aim at every wedding. Time is powerless over such imagery.
WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU, REPORTAGE OR PORTRAITS?
Reportage. It is a story in pictures, a chronicle of ambience and information. But of course the portraits are very important as well. When I shoot a „psychological“ portrait, is essential to feel and catch the moment in which the person reveals his or her character and mood.
WHAT HAS INFLUENCED YOUR STYLE?
As far as the genre is concerned I have always been interested in those visual moments when the human psyche comes to the fore. As far as my skill is concerned, I orientate myself by the masters of photojournalism, such as Henri Cartier Bresson, Cornell Capa, Elliot Erwitt, Sebastiao Salgado.
WHICH OTHER OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
Other than photography, couples may select from a variety of custom designed albums for family members.
I will travel to any international destination the couple may select.
