Anastasia Arrigo is an international awarded wedding photographer, based in Switzerland.

In search of means, to learn, watch, see interesting things to the smallest detail, discover things, which normally are not see. Jacklyn’s edge lies in her unique ability to engage and connect with people on a level that delves beyond the surface and into the deeper realm of energy and emotion. This comes, in part, from her extensive travels and immersion in foreign cultures with extended stays overseas in Italy and Australia. After earning degrees in both fine arts and environmental chemistry, she decided to follow her passion and add her intense voice with her inherent air of hyper-realism to the photography world. Since she started JAGstudios 10 years ago, her work has been featured in numerous bridal publications including the first gay wedding in Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine and the cover stories of Destination Wedding Magazine, Cake & Whiskey, and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style New England Magazine. She’s also been honored with multiple awards in Junebug Weddings, Fearless Photographers, ISPWP, and PDN Top Knot’s Contest. Jacklyn’s strong belief in conscious living has motivated her to use eco-friendly principles throughout her business. This passion for green photography has made her a valuable resource in the photographic community as studios and businesses become more environmentally aware.
Passionate about Wedding photography since 2007, when I discovered that a natural history needed a single record, a story told by reactions, expressions and feelings, history that when tears and smiles are mixed, the pain of separation and the joy of union occupy the same space, the same expressions have different meanings, moments impossible to be expressed in words as it is intangible, the record of this story turns my photography into art.
I discovered photography around 2000, first as a fascinating hobby, then as a tentative career choice and eventually as a full time job. I worked as a dark room helper, photojournalist, photo editor, assistant, second shooter and have shot news, sports, arts and concerts. Since 2011, when I started focusing on weddings, I covered everything from intimate 20-person weddings to complex productions with more than 500 guests in Romania, Italy, France, the UK and Switzerland.
The first photo book that I remember was the 1998 World Press Photo album. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the power of photojournalists to tell compelling stories and reveal big picture stories often through small details. Interestingly enough, one of the winning images from that year was actually a wedding photo.
Covering weddings, I believe we’re incredibly lucky because the stories we get to tell are happy ones and I think that the ability to hunt for moments and make emotionally powerful images is an essential skill for wedding shooters.
