During all these years, she has had a chance of traveling almost everywhere and developing her interest for documenting people´s everyday life as well as moments that make life worth living. Besides shooting weddings, she also photographs for commercial picture agencies such as Getty Images and many other editorial articles in magazines and books. Children Photography is also a big part of her life and as she is also a mother-of-three. Children interaction with the bridal party is often a recurring subject on her wedding pictures. Having lived in Brazil, Europe and the US, Ricardo loves to travel and document different cultures. His photographic career began in the late 80′s, when he joined the staff of photographers at the “Jornal do Brasil”, the oldest and most traditional of all Brazilian daily newspapers. There Ricardo learned the tools of the trade and developed his passion for telling visual stories in a meaningful way. Yvonne Zemke, Düsseldorf, Germany
Born 1967, Yvonne Zemke lived many years in Austria and Berlin. After working in different professions she was fascinated about the renaissance of photography and the new possibilities in the digital era. Her work is influenced by a mixture of new school American wedding photography, with its vibrancy and tendency to break all traditional rules – and the classic European masters that inspire her most. Yvonne Zemke has a passion for the vitality of a wedding day – a cornucopia of emotions just waiting to be transformed into a story. “Reportage and Portraits, both have their place. I cannot imagine the one without the other. The reportage tells the story of the day, and captures the little moments that could, with time, be so easily forgotten – whereas the portraits are the cherry on the cake – they reflect the bridal couple as they perceive themselves. The most important thing I ever learned has little to do with technology or photographic rules: creating an atmosphere with pictures.” |
