After spending several years working with newspapers all over the country the move to documentary-style wedding photography was a natural one and Kira feels so blessed to be doing what she loves for a living.

Her style is a combination of photojournalistic and traditional posed photos blended with an intuitive, artistic eye for creating original and unique images. Kira understands the importance of these photos to each couple she works with and has a deep respect for all the rituals and traditions of each ceremony.

Kira likes to remain in the background, a quiet observer, watching intently for real moments to unfold. Her organic working style makes couples quickly feel at ease with her. You will find Kira friendly, professional, patient and a calming presence on what can be a hectic day.

The goal is to tell a story. Kira wants to be there for all the pre-wedding jitters, to the last exhausting dance. Capturing those wonderfully spontaneous moments, bursting with emotion, is what she strives to achieve. Kira graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Photo- Communications. When she is not photographing weddings Kira loves to travel and has visited 6 continents and over 30 countries. Her photography has been published around the world, she has won several awards and works with some of the most reputed newspapers in the country including the New York Times, Washington Post and the L.A. Times.
